The Howard League for Penal Reform in Scotland (hereafter referred to as Howard League Scotland) is an independent Scottish charity aimed at promoting humane and rational penal policies in Scotland and to foster constructive policies of crime prevention and rehabilitation.
This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you sign up as a member of the organisation or agree to receiving information from Howard League Scotland. We have a legitimate interest to process information belonging to our members, and we seek consent from non-members.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you register as a member with us. We also collect information when you donate funds to us, or voluntarily sign up to receive a newsletter or other information from us. The information we generally collect includes names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers. The information provided by you is stored on our behalf by Mailchimp and payment details may be stored with VirginMoney Giving. Details may be extracted and held securely by officers of Howard League Scotland.
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to process your membership, monitor membership subscription payments and to keep you informed of the activities of Howard League Scotland and forthcoming events.
Howard League Scotland will not share your information for marketing or any other purpose with any other organisations but will use it only for specific Howard League Scotland purposes.
You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you.
Access to your information and correction
